This is an 8 days Mobile Camping Safari throughout the Wildlife Areas of Northern Botswana: The Okavango Delta, The Savute Marsh and the Chobe River. It includes 7 nights in en-suite accessible tents in 3 different private camps.
Highlights
Khwai River
Moremi Game Reserve is surrounded by wildlife management areas and private concessions of the Okavango, with no boundaries between the concessions and the reserve allowing wildlife to move freely between the woodlands in the wet season when water is plentiful and back to permanent rivers and lagoons in the dry season. The Khwai area is managed by the Khwai community through the Khwai Development Trust. This area offers the same wildlife experience as the reserve itself. However, a key advantage of being in this private concession is the freedom to do walking safaris and night drives.
Chobe National Park – Savute Area
The Chobe National Park has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. The park is best known for its large elephant populations but offers reliable and diverse game viewing, with varied sightings of predators throughout the park.
The Savute area offers a harsh and desert-like landscape in the dry season where the wildlife is supported by the now flowing Savute channel. This contrasts dramatically with the rainy season where the seasonal pans fill with water and the Savute Marsh and surrounds are covered with lush green vegetation that attracts an annual migration of zebra and wildebeest, as well as an abundance of birdlife. The sand ridge, Goha Hills, and the dead trees on the Savute Marsh, offer some spectacular photographic opportunities. The Savute Marsh has been the stage for many of the most dramatic wildlife documentaries in Africa. The wide open country, good ungulate populations and particularly strong prides of lion and hyaena clans make for dramatic wildlife interaction and excellent viewing opportunities. The marsh is prime for predators.
Chobe River
The Chobe National Park is located in the Northern part of Botswana and comprises an area of approximately 11 000 km². The park lies along the Chobe River, which borders Botswana and Namibia. The Chobe National Park is the second largest park in Botswana and is known for its superb game viewing all year round as it has one of the largest populations of game on the African continent. Chobe is probably most well known for its impressive herds of African Elephants. The Chobe River supports the largest concentration of elephant found anywhere in Africa and it is not uncommon to encounter herds in excess of a hundred.
The Chobe River has its origins in Angola, where it is known as the Kwando River. When it enters Botswana, the Kwando River becomes the Linyanti and then near Ngoma Gate it becomes the Chobe River. The Chobe River meets up with the Zambezi River near Kazangula at the border of Botswana. Guests are able to fish for tigerfish and bream in both the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, which undoubtedly are the premier tigerfishing waters in Africa.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1, 2 & 3 (3 nights): Botswana – Moremi Game Reserve & Khwai Community Concession
Day 1 : Upon your arrival at Maun Airport you will be met by your private English speaking professional guide who will stay with you from Maun to Kasane for the entire camping section of your journey. After a brief introduction, you will be escorted to your private open game drive vehicle and depart Maun in a northerly direction for your first destination along the Khwai river, which is the Okavango Delta’s eastern outflow.
Day 2 & 3: We will enjoy the next couple of days exploring the Khwai Concession with our days consisting of early morning and late afternoon game drives in search of various predators (such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyaena) antelope (such as impala, lechwe, reedbuck, tsessebe) and other game such as giraffe, zebra, etc and of course also the birds that inhabit this area. Hippopotamus are abundant in the streams and lagoons that make up vast areas of the Delta.
Upon return to our campsite around late morning, a delicious brunch will be served. Thereafter you have time to relax in/around camp. We will explore this area in great detail, which is sure to provide many unforgettable game-viewing experiences
Overnight: Endeavour Fully Serviced Mobile Camp
The concept of adventure camping in comfort and safety. These safaris have been designed in such a way as to ensure maximum comfort and respond to the demand for freedom and security for any adventurous travellers who prefers a semi luxurious, but still adventurous, African style product.
In our camps we set up large tents of 4.5 m x 3m, which have en-suite bathrooms and a partition between the bedroom and private bathroom interior. The tents have large windows with mosquito gauze.
In the bathroom there is a chemical toilet and a hot bucket shower, ensuring that you do not need to exit the security of the tent at night.
Further to this there is also a small linen closet with shelves, a mirror and containers for soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, brush, comb …. We provide towels and amenities such as soap, shampoo and insect repellent.
En-suite safari tents
We also provide high-density mattresses, pillows, quilts, sheets, and during the winter, blankets and hot water bottle. Between the beds there is a small table with a light and rechargeable battery. At the entrance of the tent there is a water container which is filled by our staff every morning and evening to wash your hands and face and clean your teeth.
The camp is set up with a mess tent, which includes a dining table and buffet table, and a coffee station which is available all day. The table for lunch and dinner is prepared by our camp staff with porcelain plates, glasses for water and wine, and metal cutlery.
The meals are prepared by our brilliant bush chefs on the fire and our menus include a variety of foods, including chicken, beef, pork and lamb, pasta, rice, potatoes, cooked and raw vegetables and fruits in season. Daily, our chefs prepare fresh bread and cakes for dessert and surprise birthday celebrations.
These safaris are organized with a minimum of 2 vehicles: one vehicle for passengers and the local professional guide, and a back-up vehicle for equipment, supplies and camp staff. The back-up vehicle departs before our clients, providing them with the required time to prepare the camp and meals before the clients arrive, where possible. Our staff efficiently ensure the cleanliness and order of the camp and the tents at all times, and they take down and reset the camp when you move from one place to another. In this way, our clients can relax when in camp and spend more time in search of animals and observing the flora and wild places of Botswana.

Day 4 & 5 (2 nights): Chobe National Park
Day 4: Moving day
Early morning breakfast at your private Mobile Camp before commencing on a full day game-drive through the Mababe Area and the Southern Part of Chobe National Park to your second destination: Savute Area, which is southern chobe national park. This drive through the wild, can take between 4 and 6 hours depending on the animal sightings and photographic opportunities on the way. Picnic lunch will be served en route.
Day 5: Exploring Day
The Chobe National Park has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. The park is best known for its large elephant populations but offers reliable and diverse game viewing, with varied sightings of predators throughout the park.

Day 6 & 7 (2 nights): Chobe River
Day 6:
Departing Savuti, we make our way towards Northern Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 square kilometres. This park has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Its uniqueness in the abundance of wildlife and the true African nature of the region, offers a safari experience of a lifetime. Upon arrival at your third camp, enjoy some time to relax before setting out on your afternoon game drive activity.
Day 7: Exploring Day
On Day two here, we will enjoy an afternoon sunset boat cruise, observing the game coming to quench their thirst in the cool waters of the Chobe River. This river is the life-blood for thousands of elephants in the dry season as well as many other species. Return to our camp for dinner. The boat leave from Kasane.

This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to your point of departure, which might be any of three possibilities. First being Kasane airport for your outbound flight. Second and third option either transfer to Zambia or Zimbabwe International airports an hour and a half road transfer from Kasane
