We know the city and its surroundings, the key places of interest, the specialists, the local products, the markets… our knowledge is a treasure trove from which we can create the best accessible tours for you. For this four day trip, we can organize and book hotel accommodation, as well as transport, tour guides, and all kinds of services to tailor make your trip; always with the highest quality of service and price.

Barcelona’s rich historical past can be found in its remarkable shops, some dating back hundreds of years, all brimming with facinating stories of courtship and commerce. Full of charm, Barcelona’s oldest shops preserve a particularly human view point of the grand historcal drama that is Europe.

Holiday in Barcelona

The influence of the sun and of the Mediterranean Sea make the Penedès a privileged territory for winegrowing. In this incomparable setting, enjoying the sun in the vineyards, taking a walk around villages and towns and discovering the great wines offered by local wineries, makes for an exhilarating experience.
The DO Penedès territory is vast and open and stretches across a long strip of land between the mountains and the sea, halfway between Barcelona and Tarragona.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1

A man in wheelchair

We start the day with a visit to the impressive church of the Sagrada Família. It certainly won’t leave you indifferent. Afterwards, another good option is a walk up to the nearby neighbourhood of Gràcia, where you’ll be able to have lunch in one of its many charming squares. From Fontana metro station, line 3 will take you to Park Güell, where you’ll be able to continue admiring Gaudí’s spectacular works.

Day 2

Tourists walk

The walking tours, Barcelona Walk, are the perfect way of seeing the city on foot (although most routes are accessible by wheelchair), and you could dedicate your day to two of these themed itineraries. We offer different options and can tailor make a route for you. From the History of yesterday to the art of today, every corner of Barcelona is steeped in history. In the morning, we invite you to discover the medieval and Roman past of the city in the Gothic Quarter and at the Museu d’Història de Barcelona, which is packed with surprises. Afterwards, you can lose yourself for a while among the mouth-watering stalls of the Boqueria Market.

Day 3

“Let´s go have a Vermouth,” is just one of the marvellous phrases you might hear during the weekend. Barcelonians are quickly recuperating the taste and tradition of Vermouth. Discover with us the most authentic neighborhoods of Barcelona and feel like a local, drinking a vermouth, a beer or a clara with some anchovies, olives or array of other delicious snacks that spark the appetite and awaken the stomach…we will then satiate it. Let´s go have a vermouth? We discover the streets of the El Born neighborhood. We will learn about its medieval past, its present bohemian atmosphere, and its rich offerings of gourmet products. Along the way, we will make 3 stops to taste delicious local foods, including dried fruits and nuts, artisanal cheeses, cured meats and wine… alternatively take a lovely stroll through one of the most loved neighborhoods of the city, in which each street has a story to tell. Once called Vilanova de Mar, it was filled with merchants and traders, as the port of the city. The Born was the urban center with the most activity in the city. Espasería, Espartería, Formatgería… union divisions by street, the role of the old Born Market, the Santa María Del Mar church…thousands of stories and anecdotes which accompany us through this passionate tour as we taste and drink the local gastronomic products.

Day 4

We propose four annual outputs to walk about 3-4 miles and see what is the status of grapevines in each of the main stages of its growth cycle. We will see: sprouting flowering The late harvest pruning The groups will be accompanied by a guide who will give all the necessary explanations to approaching the wine culture and history. Each output will end by visiting a winery where we will meet their makers. This activity is suitable for all audiences because all routes are of low difficulty.

Day 5

You can practice many farming activities. One of the most important activities is the cultivation of wine, so our clients can live the harvest and the process of wine elaboration. You can also see how the vineyards change its colour throughout the seasons and experiment the pruning season. During the spring, our hosts will see a type of pruning called esporga. The Hotel hosts may also enjoy another farming activity: gardening. This garden is only a few meters from the house and it has many vegetables, depending on the season. Our clients may also plant, farm and see the vegetables growing up until the ideal moment to taste. For example, you can eat typical cooked vegetables like escalivada and calçots! The cultivation of olives trees is another activity you can live. You can see the harvest and know all the tools used in this process and see the elaboration process of olive oil.

Day 6

Route for bike and handbike Greenways is a proposal to maximise the potential of the bike and handbike and the natural resources of Penedès County, to facilite sustainable mobility, to create safe logistic structures that encourage local and visitor circulation and a large etc of health, social and economic benefits. The singularity of the DO Penedès as a region gives rise to the diversity of its wines. A myriad of flavours, aromas, bodies and structures… all the result of the region’s climate and landscape differences and of the richness and variety of its soils, tinged with the green of the mountains and plains or the blue of the waters of the Mediterranean. More than just lands of vineyards with a centuries-old tradition, the Penedès symbolises an entire wine-growing and winemaking world where the men and women involved understand their work as an art and a commitment.

We believe it also helps guests to better understand the life and lay out of the city so they can make the most of their trip and access shops and restaurants off the beaten tourist track. We also like to give you the possibility of travelling by bicycle, and exploring the city from a different point of view.

Community

We prioritize quality, food heritage and its history, focusing on creating profit from your investment while controlling costs.

Aware of the current situation of increasing poverty in the city of Barcelona, we have been learning about matters of nutrition and food security from the team at ” BCN comparteix el menjar ” which is a project that takes aims to analyse food resources and create a network to contribute to the reduction of poverty Spain’s cities. The goal of this project is to protect the universal right to food access for the citizens of Barcelona living in poverty, something we support.

We want to become a business underpinned by quality, trust, and specialization. Confidence is obtained with effective and honest work and we exist thanks to the mutual trust from both our customers and suppliers who help us to access the best bits of the city.

On our tours, we place local shops, markets, restaurants and artists at the heart of what we do, ensuring that the communities of Barcelona benefit from our customers visit as much as our customers do. We help to design lovely strolls through much loved local neighbourhoods which other tour companies often miss out on.
