Introducting: “C’ NOTES” Now in Beauty & Fashion

Hello and WELCOME to my Beauty and Fashion creative space! I am excited to share all that inspires, moves my soul, and empowers me to feel beautiful, and confident a woman. Through my creative vision, my fashion-“able” style, and my beauty tips, I want to empower other women to also feel strong and beautiful in their own skin.

I am a creative-artistic person; I love everything from beauty, fashion, photography, to dance, music and poetry. As a young girl, I wanted to be a businesswoman, to be my own boss doing something creative, a photographer, songwriter, writer or editor of a fashion magazine. I could never narrow it down to just one thing because I wanted to be many things.

Growing up my both my parents worked as sewing operators in one of the main manufacturing apparel companies in the San Fernando Valley. I remember my parents taking my brother and me to their company’s Christmas Luncheon. We would run through the aisles of the over-lock machines, play around the rolls of fabric and mountains of unfinished garment pieces.

My mother would dress me in these big ruffle dresses that I loved until I reached the age of 8. She was definitely my first fashion influence; she could make a $20 thrift store outfit look like a million bucks. Some of our most fun weekend outings together were shopping at thrift stores.

When I was a teenager my walls were covered with torn out pages of magazines of supermodel Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and other 90s fashion beauty icons. I’d buy my Cosmopolitan, Vogue, and Teen Pop magazines and admire my idols inside the colorful, beautiful magazine pages.

Setting up our own fashion photo-shoots for my cousins and I was one of our favorite things to do! I grew up behind the scenes of the fashion industry and loved everything that revolved around the beauty of the mind, body, and Spirit. It’s in my genes.

In June 2008, looking forward to an exciting summer, I had a car accident and became paralyzed from the waist down from one day to the next. It altered my life completely, I didn’t feel beautiful and I didn’t feel strong. Just to BE was one of my biggest challenges.

I felt I’d lost so much of myself that I would never get back, not only physically but emotionally. Loving, accepting and being comfortable in my own skin was one of my biggest obstacles to overcome. With love, time, reflection and determination, my vision of what I thought was beautiful evolved and found meaning in the sense of what true beauty really is.

It’s not so much the supermodels on bedroom walls or the image of celebrity stars we’re bombarded with nowadays, but it’s real women, our every-day women with “character, intelligence, strength, and style that makes beauty.” as Diane von Furstenberg, Fashion Beauty & a Business woman once said.

I am your everyday woman, a mother, and I push (literally) through my challenges and fight through my insecurities daily like every other woman. I know I am a strong, capable, beautiful woman with a lot of style and big dreams. Life isn’t perfect, but our outfits and how we dress to face the world can be! In collaboration with PUSHLiving as Beauty & Fashion Editor, I will dedicate myself to empowering women through my experiences, adaptive style, vision, beauty tips, and aesthetics.

My first Beauty tip would be to “be daring, feel delicious and divine” Inspiration is everywhere, don’t be afraid to be bold. Most importantly…Don’t give up on yourself. Find your own beauty, your sense of style, and adapt them to make it your own.I believe that if you look good, feel good, you will do well in pursuing and conquering your dreams!
